Beds24 “No price found”: why rooms vanish from your booking page and how to fix it

When a guest searches your Beds24 booking page and sees “No price found” instead of a price, one of your room types has no bookable offer for those dates. The guest rarely tries again: they go back to Booking.com, and you pay the commission. Here is what the message means, the checks Beds24 itself recommends, and how to find every affected room before guests do.

What “No price found” means

The Beds24 booking page asks Beds24 which offers are available for the dates and number of guests searched. When a room type comes back without any bookable offer, the page has no price to show. Depending on the layout, the guest sees “No price found”, an empty price, or the room simply does not appear.

Beds24 states the rule plainly in its documentation: “If you have no prices for a certain date the system will show no availability on your booking page and not send availability to OTAs” (Beds24 wiki). So it is not a display glitch: for that search, the room is not sellable.

A room that is fully booked on a given date is normal. The problem is a room type that shows no price whatever the dates: a room you pay for and do not sell.

Narrow it down first: one date, one room type, or every room?

Before changing any setting, find out how wide the problem is. Open your own booking page in a private browser window and search three stays of 2 nights for 2 adults, roughly 30, 60 and 90 days ahead.

  • One room type, every date: that room type has no rate, or its rate is not active. This is the most common case.
  • Every room, far-off dates only: you are beyond your booking window, or next season’s prices are not entered yet.
  • Every room, specific dates: a blackout, a closed period or a minimum stay blocks those dates.
  • One date only: the room is probably just full.

The checks Beds24 recommends

Beds24’s own troubleshooting page for rooms that are not available for booking lists the settings to verify (source). In the order we would check them:

  1. Valid prices exist for the dates searched, for this room type.
  2. The right offer is activated in the price. By default prices use “Offer 1”; a price attached to an offer that is not active produces nothing to sell.
  3. Max Days in Advance is long enough. It is 365 days by default, so guests searching further ahead find nothing.
  4. Inventory is open in the calendar for those dates.
  5. No blackout or Exceptional Booking Period blocks the stay, in (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > BOOKING RULES.
  6. No dependency on another room makes this one unavailable, in (SETTINGS) PROPERTIES > ROOMS > SETUP.
  7. Overbooking protection, which Beds24 sets per property, is part of the check too.

Repeat the test after every season change. Expired rates are the classic case: everything works in spring, and guests searching for next winter see nothing.

The usual culprits in real accounts

In the hotels we have worked with, the cause was almost always one of these:

  • Next season was never priced. The rate stops at the end of the year and nobody noticed.
  • A restriction is stricter than the guest’s stay, such as a minimum stay of three nights on a two-night search.
  • A room type was never meant for sale. Test rooms, old room types or internal codes are still published, with no rate attached.
  • All units are blocked for the period.

Room names make it worse. On the standard page, room types often appear under internal Beds24 names such as “XGL” or “DBLV”, so the guest cannot even tell which room is missing.

Let guests enquire instead of leaving

Beds24 has an Allow Enquiries option on fixed prices: instead of an empty price, the booking page shows an “Enquire” link that opens a request form. It only appears between that fixed price’s start and end dates, and only “if no price can be found but the room is not fully booked” (Beds24 wiki).

It is a useful safety net while you fix your rates, but an enquiry is not a booking: the guest still has to wait for your answer, and many will book elsewhere in the meantime.

Why it also costs you OTA bookings

The same rule that empties your booking page also applies to your channels: with no price for a date, Beds24 does not send availability to the OTAs. A forgotten rate is therefore not just a booking page problem, and it is easy to miss.

That is why the problem goes unnoticed for months. Our booking page was born in a group of eight Swiss hotels on Beds24: when we first tested them, 10 room types out of 35 had no bookable rate, and nobody in the hotels knew.

Audit every room type at once

Checking by hand works, but it has to be redone every season. Our booking page does it for you:

  • A diagnosis as soon as you connect Beds24. We run the same three test stays (2 nights, 2 adults, 30, 60 and 90 days ahead) and list every room type Beds24 cannot sell, with the reason and what to do.
  • No empty line for your guests. Room types without an offer are left out of the results instead of showing an error, and you are told about them.
  • Real room names, beds, descriptions and photos in each language, instead of the internal codes.
  • Hide a room type in one click if it is not for sale.

Frequently asked questions

Is “No price found” a Beds24 bug?

No. It is how the booking page reports a room type with no bookable offer for the dates and guests searched. The fix is in your prices, offers, booking rules or availability.

Why do I only see it on some dates?

Usually because a rate or season ends, because the dates are beyond Max Days in Advance (365 days by default), or because a blackout or minimum stay applies on those dates.

Does a missing price affect Booking.com and other channels?

Yes. Beds24 documents that with no price for a date, it does not send availability to the OTAs either.

Can I hide a room type that is not for sale?

Yes. On our booking page it is one checkbox in the room editor, and hidden room types never appear to guests.

How can I check all my room types at once?

Connect your Beds24 account to our booking page: the diagnosis lists every room type Beds24 cannot sell, with the reason, in about 30 seconds. The free trial needs no credit card.
