Beds24 booking widget: let guests book on your own website

Beds24 gives you free booking widgets for your website, but most of them hand your guests over to the Beds24 booking page. Here is what each Beds24 widget does, what changes on a phone between an iframe and a script widget, what to check on Wix, Squarespace and Webflow, and how to embed a widget that runs the search and the booking form on your own page.

The Beds24 widgets and where they send your guests

Beds24’s booking widgets are free for Beds24 customers. Beds24 says “all widgets are available in over 30 languages” and names WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and Joomla among the website builders they work with (Beds24). What matters for your guests is where each one takes them:

Beds24 widgetOn your websiteWhere the booking happens
Availability calendarA calendar of free datesOn your Beds24 booking page, which opens with the clicked date as arrival date
Booking box or stripA small search formOn your secure Beds24 booking page
iFrameYour Beds24 booking page, inside a frameIn the frame, on your page

With the calendar, box and strip, guests pick dates on your site and book on the Beds24 page: simple and reliable. But that page has its own design, and to restyle the widgets themselves, Beds24 notes that “CSS needs to be added directly in your web site” (Beds24 wiki).

iFrame or script widget: what changes on mobile

To keep the booking on your page, there are two techniques. An iframe is a window showing another website, here your Beds24 booking page. A script widget builds the search, rooms and booking form directly in your page.

Beds24 generates iframe code in its widget settings, under (SETTINGS) BOOKING ENGINE > BOOKING WIDGETS > iFrame GENERATOR, and is frank about the drawbacks (Beds24 wiki): “iFrames on mobile devices are problematic”, and third-party cookie blocking “can also block our ability to pass data from the widget to the iFrame”. It even suggests opening the booking page in a new tab instead.

What changesiFrameScript widget
HeightSet by the frame; long steps can scroll inside a boxGrows and shrinks with each step
Phone screensThe framed page has to fit inside the frameAdapts to the width of your page
DesignThe framed page keeps its own lookCan take your colours and fonts
CookiesThird-party cookie blocking can stop data reaching the frameOurs sets no cookies

Whatever you embed, test it on a real phone, in a private window, through a complete search.

Wix, Squarespace, Webflow: what to check before embedding

Every website builder has an element for custom code, and each has its catch. At the time of writing (October 2026):

  • Wix: use the Embed HTML element. Wix’s help centre says it “displays your code within an iFrame, and if the content is larger than the iFrame, it will get cut off and will show scroll bars” (Wix). Beds24’s wiki adds that “unlike almost all other website builders Wix does not support JQuery” (Beds24 wiki). On Wix, we recommend the hosted booking page behind a “Book now” button. Embedding our widget is possible but still to be tested on your site: Wix runs HTML blocks from its own domain, so add https://*.filesusr.com to your allowed websites first.
  • Squarespace: use a Code Block. JavaScript and iframes in Code Blocks only work on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and some legacy plans. Code can also stay hidden while you are logged in, so check the page in a private window.
  • Webflow: use a Code Embed element. It needs a paid Site plan or a paid Workspace plan, and scripts only appear as a placeholder in the Designer, so check the published or staging site.
  • Any builder: if your plan has no custom code element, link a “Book now” button to a booking page instead.

Embed a branded Beds24 booking widget in two lines

Our Beds24 booking engine includes a script widget: plain JavaScript, with no iframe, no jQuery, no trackers, no cookies and no third-party libraries. Once your Beds24 account is connected, your dashboard gives you two lines like these:

<div class="db" data-tenant="your-hotel" data-fallback="https://beds24.com/booking2.php?propid=…"><a href="https://beds24.com/booking2.php?propid=…">Book now</a></div>
<script src="https://…/embed/your-hotel.js"></script>
  1. Connect Beds24 with an invite code giving access to bookings, inventory and properties. A Beds24 invite code is valid 24 hours and works once.
  2. Prepare your rooms: real names, photos, descriptions, colours. The diagnosis flags any room type Beds24 cannot sell.
  3. Allow your website: in your settings, add your site’s address to Allowed websites, with and without www if both are used.
  4. Paste the two lines into your builder’s custom code element, where the booking form should appear, and publish.
  5. Test on a phone: search, choose a room and a rate, check the total.

Guests then search, compare rooms and rates, and book on your page, in English, German, French, Italian or Spanish (Beds24’s own widgets cover more languages). Availability and prices are read live from Beds24 and checked again at booking. The booking is written into Beds24, whose channel manager closes the room on your other channels. The first line already holds a “Book now” link to your Beds24 booking page: if our server is down, guests can still book there, and once the widget loads, it takes the link’s place.

On WordPress, skip the code: our Beds24 WordPress plugin adds the same booking engine as a block or a shortcode.

Widget on your site or hosted booking page?

You do not have to choose. Along with the widget, you get a hosted booking page: a link that works without touching your site.

  • The widget belongs on a dedicated “Book” page, where guests expect to search and book.
  • The hosted page link goes behind “Book now” buttons, on your Google Business Profile, in emails and on social media. It is also our recommendation for Wix.
  • Both can run side by side, and Beds24 stays your PMS and channel manager either way.

Compare the plans on our pricing page. If you would rather not touch code, we set it up for you: you send a Beds24 invite code and your photos, we prepare everything, and you approve before it goes live.

Frequently asked questions

Are Beds24 booking widgets free?

Yes. Beds24’s widgets and its WordPress plugin are free for Beds24 customers. Our widget comes with our booking page: CHF 29 or 49 a month per property (excl. VAT), no commission, with a 30-day free trial.

Do Beds24 widgets keep guests on my website?

The availability calendar, booking box and booking strip do not: a click opens your Beds24 booking page. The iframe does, with the mobile and cookie limits Beds24 itself describes.

Can I put a Beds24 booking widget on Wix?

Beds24 lists Wix as supported, but its wiki notes that Wix does not support jQuery, and Wix shows embedded code in a frame. With our booking page, prefer the hosted page behind a “Book now” button on Wix; the embedded widget is possible, but to be tested on your site.

Will the widget show my Beds24 discounts and minimum stays?

Yes. Prices and availability come from Beds24 on every search, so discounts, minimum stays and closures set in Beds24 apply as they are.

Where do guests pay?

On the Beds24 payment page, with your own Stripe or PayPal, if you ask for a deposit or full payment. You can also take no payment online, or ask for a card guarantee: the card is entered on Beds24’s card form and nothing is charged.
