Beds24 booking engine alternatives: a new PMS, or just a new booking page?

Search for a Beds24 alternative and you mostly find lists of other PMS. But if what bothers you is the page your guests book on, not the system behind it, changing PMS is the heaviest fix there is. Here is a quick check to tell the two apart, what you keep by staying on Beds24, and three options compared side by side.

New PMS or just a new booking page? A two-minute check

Start with what actually bothers you.

A new booking page is probably enough if:

  • Your rates, restrictions and channels work, and Beds24 keeps Booking.com, Airbnb and Expedia in sync.
  • Guests see internal room codes instead of room names, or “No price found” where a room should be.
  • The booking page looks nothing like your website or your property.
  • You want your own domain and no Beds24 branding: see the white-label booking page options.

A new PMS may be the real fix if:

  • The back office itself (calendar, rates, reports) is what slows you and your team down.
  • You need back-office features that Beds24 does not give you.

If most of what bothers you is in the first list, the problem is the guest-facing booking engine, not Beds24. For small visual changes, first try to customize the Beds24 booking page yourself.

What you keep by staying on Beds24

Everything Beds24 does for you today would have to be moved or set up again in a new PMS, while bookings keep coming in. By staying, you keep:

  • Your channel connections: the mappings to Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia and your other channels, already set up and working.
  • Your rates and rules: seasons, offers, discounts, minimum stays and closures.
  • Your bookings: future reservations and your history, in one place.
  • Your payment set-up: the Stripe or PayPal account connected to Beds24.
  • Your routines: how you and your team already work.

Guests see none of this. That is why a problem guests do see can often be fixed without touching any of it.

Option 1: switch PMS

This is what review sites mean by a Beds24 alternative. Capterra and HotelTechReport list full PMS replacements, for example Hostaway, Cloudbeds, Guesty, Lodgify and Little Hotelier (Capterra, HotelTechReport).

It is the right move when the back office is the problem. On Capterra, Beds24 is rated 4.7 out of 5 from 117 reviews at the time of writing (October 2026), yet some reviewers find the interface dated; one writes that it “might have an outdated interface compared to similar products on the market” (Capterra reviews). A new booking page will not change that.

It is also the heaviest move. Before switching, list what you would redo:

  • Re-map every OTA connection, then check rates and availability on each channel.
  • Move future bookings, and decide what happens to your history.
  • Re-enter rates, offers and restrictions, and set up payments again.
  • Learn the new system and train your team.

Then compare each vendor’s booking engine, prices and contract on its own website.

Option 2: a website builder connected to Beds24

If you need a whole new website, not just a booking page, some website builders connect to Beds24. Two examples from Beds24’s wiki:

  • RezIntel builds a website from the content you already have in Beds24. Content, availability and pricing are uploaded “on a daily basis”, and “Rezintel only works with the Daily prices, which means Rezintel cannot display specific check-in and check-out dates”. Beds24 users get a 14-day free trial (Beds24 wiki).
  • Webready is “a website builder for vacation rentals”. Bookings made on the website “will be synced to Beds24”, and the booking engine is added with a direct link or iframe code (Beds24 wiki).

This route makes sense when the whole website needs replacing. If you like your current site, it means rebuilding it to change one page. Also ask each builder whether prices and availability are read live or copied once a day: a daily copy can differ from what Beds24 sends your channels later that day.

Option 3: replace only the booking engine

The third option keeps Beds24 and your website, and changes only the page guests book on. That is what our Beds24 booking engine does:

  • Live data: availability and prices are read from Beds24 on every search, for the dates the guest picks, and checked again at booking time.
  • Bookings written into Beds24, so its channel manager closes the room on every channel.
  • A page that looks like you: real room names, photos and descriptions in five languages, your colours, rates side by side, city tax shown upfront.
  • Your website stays: a hosted page behind your “Book now” buttons, a two-line widget for your website, or our WordPress plugin. On Wix, prefer the hosted page.
  • Payments on the Beds24 payment page with your own Stripe or PayPal, and an automatic fallback to your original Beds24 page if our service fails.

It costs CHF 29 a month up to 5 rooms or units and CHF 49 above, per property, excluding VAT. Yearly, you pay 10 months for 12, setup included, and groups get -20% on each property from the third. Start with a 30-day free trial. Rather not do it yourself? We set it up for you for CHF 200, paid when your page is live.

Like Beds24’s own page, it is a commission-free booking engine: what changes is what your guests see. What it does not change is the Beds24 back office. If that is your problem, see option 1.

In short: change PMS if Beds24 itself is the problem, change the website if the whole site is, and change only the booking engine if the problem is the page your guests book on.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Beds24?

It depends on what you want to replace. Review sites list full PMS such as Hostaway, Cloudbeds, Guesty, Lodgify and Little Hotelier. If only the booking page bothers you, you can replace the booking engine and keep Beds24.

Can I keep Beds24 and use another booking engine?

Yes. Beds24 documents how an external booking engine reads price and availability and enters bookings into Beds24, which then reduces availability on your other channels. Our booking page works that way.

Will replacing the booking engine affect Booking.com or Airbnb?

Not with ours. Your channels stay connected to Beds24. A direct booking is written into Beds24 like any other, and the channel manager closes the room everywhere.

Do I need a new website?

Not to replace only the booking engine. Use a hosted booking page behind your “Book now” buttons, or paste the two-line widget into the site you already have. On Wix, prefer the hosted page.

What does it cost to replace only the booking engine?

With our booking page, CHF 29 a month up to 5 rooms or units and CHF 49 above, per property, excluding VAT, with no commission. The trial lasts 30 days, without a credit card. See our pricing.
