Beds24 reviews: what users say, and whether Beds24 is legit, safe and reliable

Beds24 gets two very different report cards: 4.7 out of 5 on Capterra, a TrustScore of 2.1 on Trustpilot. Both can be true. Here is what users praise and what they complain about, with short sourced quotes, the facts behind “is Beds24 legit and safe?”, who it suits, and how to work around its usual weak spots.

Beds24 ratings at a glance (October 2026)

SiteRatingReviewsWorth knowing
Capterra4.7 out of 5117Ease of use 4.2, customer service 4.6; the newest review we read is from January 2026
TrustpilotTrustScore 2.1 out of 51392% one-star, 11 reviews in the last 12 months; Beds24 has not claimed the profile

The gap is less strange than it looks. Capterra has nine times as many reviews, written over several years. Trustpilot’s sample is tiny, and several recent reviews there describe a trial, setup or migration that went wrong. Side by side, both sites describe the same product: powerful and cheap, but demanding to set up, with little hand-holding.

Figures checked on the source pages on 7 October 2026.

What users praise

  • Price. One reviewer calls Beds24 “very affordable and feature packed software that lets you do almost everything”. Even a two-star review concedes that “the price is low compared to other channel manager”.
  • Flexibility. “You’re not going to find a more configurable and adaptable solution on the market,” writes one owner, a self-described software engineer, who recommends Beds24 “if you’re very technical”.
  • Channel sync. The newest Capterra review we read, from January 2026, praises “very reliable property and channel synchronization, which is critical for daily operations”.

Recurring complaints, and how fair they are

  • A dated, complex interface. “It reminds of a 97’s Windows, hence can be quite clunky,” writes one reviewer. Another, who gave five stars, still finds that “the learning curve can be steep, especially during initial setup”.
  • Documentation that lags behind. “Documentation on their help pages doesn’t even match the product, seems like they change the UI but not the documentation.”
  • Support by email, in German business hours. Reviewers describe support “only available by email” from a team in Germany, and little help with real bugs: “do not expect much support”.
  • Setups that go wrong. Recent one-star Trustpilot reviews describe updates “significantly delayed” during testing, an abandoned migration and slow answers when it mattered.

How fair is that? Even five-star reviewers share the interface point, and Beds24 has started to address it (see the last section). On support, one fan calls Beds24 “a 100% do it yourself solution”: if you want hand-holding during setup, that is a mismatch, not bad luck.

Is Beds24 legit and safe?

Legit: yes. Its imprint names Beds24 GmbH, registered with the Berlin-Charlottenburg local court (HRB 284224 B). In its update log, Beds24 announces 2026 partner statuses with Booking.com (Premier Partner, for the 11th year running), Airbnb (Preferred+), Expedia Group (Elite) and Vrbo (Preferred). In September 2025, it also announced that it had “joined forces with Visit Group”, a travel technology group from the Nordics.

Safe: mostly a question of your login. Beds24’s login help page warns that “Fake Beds24 sites have been reported to appear in search results”. So a login from a device or browser it does not recognise triggers compulsory two-factor authentication, through a link sent to your admin email address.

  • Bookmark the real login page instead of searching for it.
  • Keep your admin email account secure: it is your second factor.
  • Give staff their own logins instead of sharing yours.

Beds24 also announced a major server and security upgrade for September 2025, with “enhanced security measures for credit card collection and credit card storage”. And as a German company, Beds24 GmbH falls under the EU’s GDPR.

Is Beds24 reliable?

On the evidence, mostly yes, with exceptions worth testing for. As Beds24 describes it, Expedia Group’s Elite status goes to “only 14 top providers worldwide based on the past 12 months of performance”, and its Airbnb status recognises “connection stability”. The newest Capterra review we read calls the sync “very reliable”.

The exceptions are real. One Trustpilot reviewer testing an Airbnb connection saw automatic updates arrive late while a manual update went through almost instantly, and several Capterra reviewers mention bugs and glitches. Planned maintenance is announced in advance in the update log.

Test before you trust: during the trial, change a price and close a date in Beds24, then time how long each change takes to appear on every channel.

Who Beds24 suits

  • A good fit if you watch costs, like to configure things yourself, run complex rates or several properties, and are happy to learn from documentation. Technical owners are among its biggest fans.
  • A poorer fit if you want phone support and someone to set things up for you, a polished interface from day one, or a quick migration in high season.

How to work around the usual weak spots

  • The interface. In September 2026, Beds24 introduced an optional “Modern” skin for the control panel: refreshed colours, typography and spacing, the same menus and workflows, and a switch back to “Legacy” at any time.
  • The documentation. When a help page does not match your screen, check the update log for recent changes, or book one of Beds24’s paid onboarding sessions (prices in our Beds24 pricing guide).
  • Support. Plan your setup outside your busiest weeks, and keep tickets precise: one issue each, with the booking number and the steps to reproduce it.
  • Your money. Payments to Beds24 are prepaid and non-refundable (see our pricing guide), so top up small amounts while you test.
  • The booking page. Reviews mostly judge the control panel, not what your guests see. You can customize the Beds24 booking page yourself, or replace only that page with our Beds24 booking engine, which reads prices live from Beds24 and writes every booking back into it. Rather not do it yourself? We set it up for you.
